The Joann Peters Scholarship was created and funded by a chemistry alum, and the first award will be given in Spring 2019. The award is open to undergraduate Chemistry majors. Eligible applicants must:
- Be full-time students majoring in Chemistry and be in good academic standing with the department and College of Science.
- Be citizens/permanent residents.
- Complete the FAFSA in the award year.
- Be an active member in The Association for Women in Science (AWIS) (or its successor) for twelve months prior to applying for this scholarship.
This scholarship is awarded through the College of Science (COS). The award consists of a monetary award, which is used to defray tuition and fees for the following academic year, and a certificate.
