The College of Science has limited funding to support faculty (both tenured/tenure-track and lecturers) traveling to conferences and workshops for professional development on pedagogical issues. The College of Science is making this investment for faculty to learn best teaching practices at other institutions. Faculty funded by this program should implement these innovative and transformative practices for our own undergraduate program. A strong application will demonstrate clear potential for significantly improving undergraduate education for a large number of students. Applications that do not describe concrete possibilities for improving our undergraduate program will not be competitive for funding. Giving a talk at the conference or workshop is not required.
