As we celebrate staff appreciation month, the College of Science is pleased to congratulate Wendy Risdon, our Senior Director (Division Budgets and Ops), for receiving the 2023 UNT Soaring Integrity Award for her commitment to ethical standards and acting in the best interest of the university. We couldn't be more proud of her for her achievements and well-deserved recognition!

Wendy earned her B.A. in accounting at Texas A&M. She started her career in public accounting working in the hospitality and medical industries before joining higher education in 2012 when she accepted a position at UNT in the Financial Reporting department. She has been with the College of Science since it became an independent unit in 2017.

When asked what her thoughts were on receiving the award, Wendy said, "I was surprised and honored to receive the UNT Soaring Integrity Award. I attribute this to many mentors throughout my career, professional training, and my inquisitive nature."
