The College of Science is pleased to welcome Daniel Herfeldt to Teach North Texas as one of their newest Lecturers. Born in Germany and raised in Puerto Rico, Mr. Herfeldt managed to find his way to North Texas years ago, graduating from UNT with a BA with a major in math and a minor in education in 2017. He says he is honored to be returning to the campus as a faculty member.

"The idea of teaching in higher education was always something I wanted to do, so coming to UNT to fulfill that is a dream come true," said Mr. Herfeldt. "I am most excited to teach my students a new way to learn about math that is both effective and helpful!"

This semester Mr. Herfeldt will be teaching Integrated Pre- and Beginning Algebra classes. "I will be teaching the students the skills needed to succeed in college algebra the following semester," he said. "My main goal is to show students who have struggled in algebraic concepts new ways to see the math."
