- Raise your UNT cumulative GPA to 2.00 or higher to return to good standing.
- Earn a 2.25 or higher semester GPA to avoid suspension and earn "continued probation" status.
- Meet with an Academic Recovery advisor to discuss your degree plan, possible repeats of courses, GPA discussion, and much more.
What is "Continued" Probation?
- To earn continued probation, a student must have been on Academic Probation in the previous term. Continued probation occurs if a student earns a 2.25 or higher semester GPA in the semester following Academic Probation.
CAUTION NOTE:
A UNT Cumulative GPA below a 2.00 and a semester GPA below a 2.25 may result in Academic Suspension. You are encouraged to speak with an Academic Recovery advisor if you begin to experience difficulty in classes while on Academic Probation. Advisors can assist with possible withdraw in classes, change of majors, and general discussions on academic wellbeing.
