The College of Science congratulates Matthew Bethea, formerly the Assistant VP for Development of the college, on his acceptance of a new position at Sam Houston University as their new Vice President for University Advancement. While Matt will be greatly missed at the University of North Texas, the College of Science Advancement team has been experiencing growth with the addition of a new team member and new partnerships that will enhance engagement opportunities for our community.
Under the leadership of Dean John Quintanilla and Meghan Dours, Senior Director of Development, the College of Science has hired a new Administrative Specialist of Donor Relations, Anne Green, to help us better serve our expanding community of alumni and friends. Alongside Courtney Marie McCreedy, the college's Marketing Coordinator, the team plans to increase donor communications, work alongside university partners on events, fundraising, and initiatives to build channels that will engage and uplift our students and programs.
The College of Science Advancement Board, which works closely with this team, will continue to serve the college in achieving its mission to provide a supportive and collaborative environment for everyone in our community. The board is currently seeking new members who are passionate about improving the student and alumni experience at the University of North Texas.
Meet the team:
Meghan Dours, Senior Director of Development
Meghan Dours has thirteen years of experience in development and has grown with UNT Advancement since 2018 and has been the recipient of several UNT Star Performer Awards. She actively volunteers with the Denton County Office of History and Culture and has been involved with the Denton Holiday Lighting Festival board and Denton ISD PTA. Meghan is currently in graduate school and is looking forward to becoming UNT alumni herself in 2025. Her passion lies in creating and building a thriving community with UNT COS supporters.
Anne Green, Administrative Specialist of Donor Relations
Anne may be a newcomer to the team, but she has been affiliated with UNT for most of her life. She comes from an alumni legacy family, and two of her children are current students. Anne comes from an advancement background with over ten years of experience working in fundraising and development. She looks forward to using her knowledge and skills to support and further advance the growth of COS.
Courtney Marie McCreedy, Marketing Coordinator
Courtney Marie has been managing all marketing, events, and internal and external communications for the UNT College of Science since January of 2018. Her favorite part of the job is learning about the research and accomplishments of our outstanding students, faculty, and staff and sharing those highlights with the community.
