The Burl Gordon Rogers Academic Excellence Award was created in memory of Dr. Burl Gordon Rogers who graduated from the University of North Texas in 1935 with a B.A. in Chemistry. The purpose of this Award is to assist an outstanding graduating pre-medical student who majored in Chemistry at the University and who has been accepted, and has registered, at a medical school at the time of the receipt of an award.
