Three COS Staff Recognized in University-wide Staff Appreciation Awards

The College of Science is pleased to announce that three of our outstanding staff members have received UNT Staff Appreciation Awards. The award winners are Virnin Bonner of the College of Science Health Professions Advising Office, Heather Vidaurri from the Department of Chemistry, and Kristi Nelson from the Mathematics Department. We couldn't be more proud of their achievements and well-deserved recognition.

From the Office of the President: "UNT staff members are the backbone of the university, providing essential support to students, faculty, administration and each other. They are essential to the success of students, of UNT and the entire university community."

Please join us in celebrating these award winners at the Staff Appreciation Awards Ceremony via Zoom, on March 2 from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

The University has expanded its Staff Appreciation program into a month-long celebration. The enhanced Staff Appreciation initiative intends to celebrate staff excellence in more meaningful ways. There are new awards that allow a greater number of staff members to be recognized for their contributions, more celebrations and more opportunities for staff members to be engaged.

We'll be profiling our award-winning staff members and other outstanding community members who contribute to excellence in the College of Science throughout UNT's Staff Appreciation Month. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn for updates and news from the Dean's office.
