The University of North Texas community, family, and friends are invited to join us in the UNT Coliseum at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023, to celebrate our Spring 2023 graduates from the College of Science. Dean Dr. John Quintanilla will be addressing the newest graduates during the ceremony and Dr. Kiko Kawamura of UNT Mathematics will be giving the commencement speech. The ceremony will include traditional commencement elements, including ceremonial degree conferral and individual graduate recognition. Over 450 College of Science students are graduating this spring/summer, including fifteen Master's students and fifteen Ph.D. students.

During the ceremony, our students with the highest honors in the College of Science will be recognized, including 70 students graduating cum laude (GPA between 3.5 and 3.69), another 80 students graduating magna cum laude (GPA between 3.7 and 3.89), and 44 students graduating summa cum laude (GPA between 3.9 and 4.0). We will also be recognizing the generosity and caring spirit of the students who have participated in this year's Students Helping Students campaign.
