Coaching the Cowboys: Dr. Rudi Thompson Featured in WSJ

Dr. Rudi Thompson, UNT biology professor and co-director of Teach North Texas, was recently featured in The Wall Street Journal and Dallas Morning News for her efforts in helping the Dallas Cowboys better prepare for meeting and training virtually.

COACHING THE COWBOYS IN ONLINE LEARNING

When the Dallas Cowboys coaching staff needed help to improve their online team meetings, they knew just where to find it. They asked Vice President Adam Fein and Assistant Vice President Ruthanne "Rudi" Thompson with UNT Digital Strategy and Innovation to share some tips with them in the off-season, and as the team went back to virtual meetings in December, the story received media coverage over the break. Tips for remote classroom teaching are helpful for virtual football meetings too because "a learner is a learner," Dr. Thompson, who also is the executive director of CLEAR and a lifelong Cowboys' fan, told The Wall Street Journal.
