Dr. Kennedy also received the Citation for Distinguished International Service for his work at the Sub-Antarctic Biocultural Conservation Program. A full list of UNT Faculty Award winners is available through the Office of the Provost.

It was also announced recently that six faculty members within our college have been promoted or newly tenured, including James Bednardz (Senior Lecturer) and Aaron Roberts (Associate Professor with Tenure) of Biological Sciences; Amy Petros (Senior Lecturer) and Guido Verbeck (Professor) of Chemistry; and Marc Grether (Principal Lecturer) and Allen Mann (Senior Lecturer) of the Mathematics Department.

The UNT Foundation, along with President Neal Smatresk and Provost Jennifer Cowley will be hosting a reception called "Celebrating the Impact of a Caring Faculty" on October 5 to recognize the faculty at UNT who are striving to make it an exceptional place to be. We thank our award-winning faculty in the College of Science for representing us with their hard work and dedication to educational and research excellence.
