iNaturalist and Seek are applications for identifying living organisms with the assistance of a worldwide community of naturalists and AI. We use iNaturalist to document and identify plants and animals seen on our research ranches and the restoration sites Dr. Lichtenberg studied while a postdoc at UT Austin.
Importance of Insects for Rangelands
In collaboration with Laurel Treviño Murphy, we developed a brochure in English and en español and a poster in English and en español about the important role pollinators and other insects play in rangelands and grasslands. Funded through a USDA SARE grant, these materials are available for all to use and distribute (brochure printing instructions, posters are 11" x 17").
