The University of North Texas community, family, and friends are invited to join us at 8 a.m. Friday, December 13, to celebrate our Fall 2024 graduates from the College of Science in person at the UNT Coliseum.

 The University of North Texas community, family, and friends are invited to join us at 8 a.m. Friday, December 13, to celebrate our Fall 2024 graduates from the College of Science in person at the UNT Coliseum. Dean Quintanilla will be addressing our newest graduates during the ceremony, alongside leadership from the UNT Colleges of Engineering and Information. The ceremony will include traditional commencement elements, including ceremonial degree conferral and individual graduate recognition. Grads who participated in Students Helping Students this semester will also be recognized.

A total of 203 College of Science students are receiving their degrees this fall: 175 in Biological Sciences, 9 in Chemistry, 12 in Mathematics, and 7 in Physics.

During the ceremony, our students with the highest honors in the College of Science will be recognized, including 31 students graduating cum laude (GPA between 3.5 and 3.69), another 25 students graduating magna cum laude (GPA between 3.7 and 3.89), and 19 students graduating summa cum laude (GPA between 3.9 and 4.0).

The ceremony for Master's and Doctoral students will begin at 2 pm on Sunday, December 15. Watch the ceremony here.
