UNT Chemistry's Dr. Hong Wang Receives Teacher-Scholar Award

UNT Chemistry professor Dr. Hong Wang was recently awarded the 2019-2020 UNT Teacher-Scholar Award, presented by the Office of Faculty Success and UNT Research & Innovation. The award will be presented to Dr. Wang at the Salute to Faculty Excellence awards dinner and celebration on April 23, 2020.

This annual award is given to mid‐career faculty member who has demonstrated excellence in research or creative productivity while also performing in an extraordinary manner as a teacher.

Dr. Wang, who joined UNT in 2016, is a graduate advisor and full professor in the UNT Chemistry Department. Her research group mainly studies synthetic methodology development and the design and development of novel organic materials with interesting photophysical and optoelectronic or biological properties. Their research principles are "using simple to make complicated" in the development of synthetic methodologies and "making complicated simple" in the design and development of organic materials.
