Dr. Padilla Joins SACNAS' Board of Directors as President-Elect

Many congratulations to Dr. Pamela Padilla, UNT professor and Associate VP for UNT Research and Innovation, on her appointment as President-elect of SACNAS newest Board of Directors! SACNAS, the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science, inhabits the space where science, culture, and community intersect. The work that Directors engage in is critical to achieve true diversity in STEM; meaning that the demographics at all levels and in all STEM sectors better reflects national demographics. Dr. Padilla's passion for advancing the cause of science has led to her heavy involvement in the organization through the years, and we are excited to see her continued contributions.

SACNAS is an inclusive professional organization dedicated to the success of minorities in the sciences. The organization has over 6,000 members and 115 chapters, including one here at UNT. For more information visit: https://www.sacnas.org/
